Some things in life just seem too good to be true. It seems too good that I get to travel the world spreading the love of the Lord. It seems too good that I get to build lifelong friendships with people from all over the country. It seems too good that I get to build friendships with others because of the littlest things and those turn to your deepest friendships. But it’s not too good to be real.

We were all put into the positions and places were in because the Lord led us all here. He lead you to the couch you’re sitting on, to the country you’re sitting in and even to the person you’ll spend the rest of your life with. The Lord isn’t about coincidences, he’s about timing. I don’t think I was put into a squad of God fearing teenagers due to coincidence. I don’t think I befriended that girl when I did just so we could “have things in common.” I don’t think we’re going through the same things just to be friends.

The Lord puts you into circumstances, good or bad, for you to choose to lean into him. I didn’t choose for my life to map out the way it has been mapped, but the Lord chose it and the people I have because he adores his child. He pleases for me to thrive. He created me as my best possible self in hopes I’ll walk out my mapped life in obedience. The Lord isn’t a coincidental man, he’s a man of intention. He’s intentional with his love, with his children, with his faith in us. He created us in hopes we will be intentional with our love, with our children and with our faith in him.

  1. Sweet Tanner!
I love when the Lord interrupts our normal daily routines because of how much he desires to speak with His children! Even if it’s in the shower! Your words bring a needed reminder for this season of my life.
